"I'll Fight You For The Library" performed by Taylor Mali

A true story.

  1. I enjoyed this so much I went and found his web page and associated blog about teaching. This was his favorite line of poetry written by a 7th grader: “When the monsters come to me at night, I pull the blankets over my head because everyone knows blankets are a monster’s weakness.”

Clever man. His poem 'The Impotence of Proofreading' is very funny.

  2. Oh yeah, he's funny and adorable. I like his poem "Reading Allowed" and "Totally like whatever, you know" as well.

  3. I loved it. His delivery, the manner in which he rants, sort of reminds me of Lewis Black.

    1. Well I didn't know much about Lewis Black so I went to youtube and watched some videos by him. Guess I might have seen him on comedy central and not know his name.

  4. Reminds me of the time I saw a some unknown meeting being held on the local library's lawn. It was cold and damp that day but when I walked inside the building the conference rooms, which are in the front, were empty. I thought about asking but the locals here are nuts and I left it alone.
