Our local library isn't among the best I've seen so I'm still buying books - real ones made of paper. Sorry I missed your earlier post before this. That young man is a marvel.
Sorry your library isn't the greatest but yes for buying books, real books. Libraries can actually own the real books they buy and then decide what to do with them but digital ownership does not exist and that just sucks. :P
This "book" you speak of, it sounds like an interesting concept. But can you access YouTube or Twitter with this newfangled "book" thingy?

My Kindle was attached to my computer recharging when I read your post. I think its feeling are hurt now.
Because the Kindle is inferior, of course it's feeling are hurt! It needs an online connection and a battery to be used. :)All kidding aside, I got to check out a Kindle 3 from the state library and it wasn't all that great IMO. Maybe the Kindle Fire is better? (shrugs)
